Since 1980 the number of adults living with diabetes has quadrupled to 422 million. Mirajul Islam Samrat is Vennue's newest Program Assistant in Dhaka, helping to implement capacity building projects across Bangladesh. In 2015 Samrat was a Vennue Intern while completing his Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honors at Stamford University Bangladesh. He brings to Vennue a passion for healthcare and a proven ability to train and mentor others. While previously working as Assistant Training Manager at Pizza Hut, Samrat received the international chain's "Rising Star" Award. Please welcome Samrat, Vennue's own rising star!
As participants in the WHO campaign "Antibiotics: Handle With Care," Vennue's pharmacy students in Bangladesh are advancing their knowledge and practice of rational antibiotic use, including communication strategies to raise patient understanding of infection prevention and promote the appropriate use of quality antibiotics.
